DAYS TWO AND THREE: Tuesday, February 12th and Wednesday, February 13th
I have given you two days to complete this assignment. It may not take you that long, but I wanted you to take your time and do a good job. :) If you finish early, do your regular work for Ms. Carey.
2) While you are reading, fill out the graphic organizer. Try to write at least two interesting facts and at least one question about each of the four transportation methods. If you need more room, use the back of the paper.
DAY FOUR: Thursday, February 14th
Watch this video of different concepts people have for future transportation. PLEASE USE YOUR HEADPHONES to not disturb others. Then fill out a pros/cons list for each one (found in your folder).
DAYS FIVE-SIX: Wednesday, February 20th and Thursday, February 21st
In Miss Carey's class, I have placed several books on alternate energy sources. Read through some of these books to try to understand how these energy sources work. When you design your own vehicle of the future, you will have to use one of these alternate energy sources. You may have to share a book with a friend, as we only have four total.
DAY SEVEN Friday, February 22nd
In your folder is some graph paper. Try to think of your own unique type of Public Transportation of the Future. Make a sketch of your idea, labeled with what the parts are. You should do sketches for both inside the vehicle and outside the vehicle. These sketches are just a first draft--we will be revising them later, so don't be afraid of making mistakes!
DAY EIGHT Monday, February 25th
Today we can't meet in person, unfortunately, because of Families. There will be new directions tomorrow.
DAY NINE: Tuesday, February 26th
Continue working on the sketches you began on Friday. If you finish, you can work on any reading/writing tasks given by Ms. Carey.
DAYS TEN AND ELEVEN: Wednesday, February 27 and Thursday, February 28
Once you finish your sketch, be sure all the parts are labeled (like in a diagram). We will be sharing these when we meet as a group on Monday. When it's ready for sharing, you may work on what Ms. Carey assigns.
